How to get an California Real Estate Salesperson License
To obtain a real estate license in California, you need to complete several steps. Here's a general outline of the process:
Meet the basic requirements:
Be at least 18 years old
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Complete the required pre-license education:
Enroll in and complete 135 hours of pre-license education from an approved California real estate school. The courses usually cover topics such as real estate principles, practices, and laws
Obtain fingerprints:
Schedule a Live Scan fingerprinting appointment through a California Department of Justice-approved vendor. This step is necessary for a background check.
